Good Life Show serves up wellness for visitors and global growth for regional brands
Thousands of local and international wellness enthusiasts, as well as tier-one buyers from around the world, will converge in Cape Town and Johannesburg for the sixth Good Life Show, South Africa’s annual conscious living showcase that features ‘better-for-you’-centred cooking, masterclasses, and next-generation wellness innovation while connecting African producers with major global distributors.
The first leg of the 2026 Good Life Show will be held at the Mother City’s Cape Town International Convention Centre from May 29-31, while the second will be staged at Johannesburg’s Sandton Convention Centre from September 18-20.
In Cape Town, named an official Host City after the City of Cape Town came on board as a strategic partner, visitors from South Africa and as far afield as Europe, Asia, the Middle East and more can look forward to an extravaganza of organic food, plant-based food and beverages, sustainability-focused apparel and clean-beauty and home and lifestyle products.
“Cape Town prides itself on its delicious and diverse culinary scene that celebrates our communities and the many cultures that call this home. Food and lifestyle are also one of the biggest markets within our travel industry and a major driver of jobs and investment. I look forward to seeing the outcomes of this wonderful event,’ says Alderman James Vos, the City of Cape Town’s Mayoral Committee Member for Economic Growth.
This year spotlights premium interactive experiences. At the Wild & Stirred Bar, guests can join a guided urban foraging journey to explore South African botanicals before crafting a bespoke cocktail with a professional mixologist. Complementing this, “Learning with Liquids” Masterclasses offer high-energy, hands-on sessions led by top culinary and drinks talent. Guests will master technical skills while exploring innovative, wellness-conscious serves.
Nigerian food sensation Chef Tolani Tayo-Osikoya – better-known to her 7.8 million social media followers as Chef T of Diary of a Kitchen Lover fame – joins host and Food Network star Jenny Morris and other leading South African chefs, including Chris Erasmus, Vusi Ndlovu and Constantijn Hendricks, at the Good Life Show’s flagship attraction.
Further star power comes from MasterChef SA Peter Goffe-Wood, Mount Nelson Executive Chef Luke Barry, and FYN culinary director Ashley Moss, while chefs such as Amori Burger, Veld & Sea’s Roushanna Gray, Caroline Lamb and Kevin Grobler spotlight plant-forward and health-conscious cuisine.
They are joined by the “Chocolatier Farmer” Philippe Lelard, pastry virtuoso Kyle Hickmore, Mediterranean-inspired cooking maestro Kyle Norris and mixologist extraordinaire Roxanne Read.
More than 250 regional producers will exhibit products and services that could potentially be taken to international markets by distributors from Japan, the USA, Germany, Spain, Poland, Italy, Greece, Finland, Sweden, the UAE, Pakistan, India, Kenya, Ghana, Morocco, Botswana, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.
Global procurement heads will engage exhibitors in a series of one-on-one, pre-scheduled private sessions to forge potential business deals that could expand to global markets.
The intervention – a first for the Good Life Show – positions brands at the forefront of South Africa’s health, sustainable lifestyle, and wellness market, projected to reach US$42.01 billion (R702 billion) by 2033.
The three-day event is expected to draw more than 15 000 visitors per city.
The enhanced focus on connecting wellness and sustainable living traders with international buyers is encapsulated by organiser Live Events partnering with Ndarama Works, a Pan-African economic advisory consultancy that has come on board to further facilitate this process.
Known as the 2026 B2B Global Trade Engine, this landmark partnership has also ensured the Show’s professional infrastructure has been upgraded for high-stakes market entry and accelerated export growth.
Ndarama Works CEO Dr Golden Mahove believes that the Show is poised to be a critical meeting place for industry leaders helping to shape Africa’s sustainable food and wellness markets.
“We see this as a vault from which many good things will spring in 2026 and into the future – a centre for thinking, for opinion forming, and for creating new opportunities,” he says.
Heidi Warricker, Chief Events Officer at Live Events, says as the only event of its kind on the continent, the Good Life Show serves as a vital platform for businesses in the booming wellness market, connecting them with influential buyers, investors, and conscious consumers.
“It also gives visitors the opportunity to see first-hand how Africa’s wellness producers are revolutionising the good-living space and to taste, touch, smell, see, and take home all this innovation from a curated marketplace.”
The Good Life Show has generated huge interest from South African and international role players.
“Locally, strategic and supporting partnerships have been forged with the City of Cape Town, the Small Enterprise Development and Finance Agency, Culinary & Service Professionals of SA (CSP-SA), FEDHASA, Restaurant Association of SA, South African Organic Sector Organisation, Heart & Stroke Foundation SA, Diabetes SA, Beauty Without Cruelty SA, Physicians Association for Nutrition SA, ECOCERT SA, Knowledge Hub for Organic Agriculture, Participatory Guarantee Systems SA, SAMAC and Waste-ED,” says Warricker.
The event’s global impact is bolstered by prestigious advocacy partners, including IFOAM Organics International, the Black Beauty Industry Initiative, and the Atlanta Black Chambers’ Global Opportunities Committee (GOC). Through the World Macadamia Organisation’s “Love Macadamia” campaign, audiences can discover the nutritional excellence of one of the world’s most premium ingredients, while Chef’s Manifesto joins as an advocacy partner, supporting dialogue and action on sustainable food systems and chef-led change.
Daniel Kotze, General Manager at Ecocert South Africa, says the Show provides an important platform to connect purpose‑driven brands with consumers who care deeply about the impact of what they buy and how it is produced.
GOC chairperson Ricardo Berris hopes its members will take advantage of the opportunity to grow through this channel. “The trade corridor between South Africa and Atlanta is strong and healthy and we need to continue to make it so for years to come,” he says.
